Appreciation-------------------------------------------------------------
Again, I would like to thank everyone who is letting me know when they are using my stock and who are giving credit as I request in my Stock Rules. I very much appreciate it! I enjoy seeing that my stock is still being used even though it has been so long since I've updated my gallery. It gives me inspiration to continue this account and I truly hope to add to it if I can ever get hi-speed at home.
However, I would also ask that if you feel that giving my stock credit when you display your finished work on DA or elsewhere is "excessive", than please find your stock elsewhere. I think my rules here are fair and quite standard from what I see from other stock providers.
It takes a lot of time and work to take stock photos and to prepare them for my account here - and then of course a long to upload them, even on hi-speed. Even though I do not do model stock, most of the photos here are taken with stock in mind. They are not simply discards of other photo shoots. (although, sometimes that might happen too, lol) You can tell the difference in style when looking at my photo prints on my art account *KerStitch.
In any case, proper credit is not asking too much for that and I really don't understand people who get defensive when you call them on it. I ask for *both* a note and credit. Not one or the other, but credit would be the more important of the two.
For now, I will be concentrating on artwork that might actually result in sales someday. Part of that will be refreshing my drawing and painting skills by using the wonderful model stock others provide here on DA. I used to draw mostly cats (wild and domestic) before. I think I need to expand to humans. lol Now, that I have access to many beautiful photos from the very generous stock-artists here I might get there.
But I should be able to keep checking in regularly, now that I know people are still finding my stock useful. One day I hope to get a better camera so I can have better resolution for everyone too. Someday.
